About the place ...

Established with approval from the Vadtal Temple Managing Trust and guided by Acharya Rakeshprasad Maharaj (the 6th successor of Gopalanand Swami’s lineage), construction commenced in December 2008 and concluded with a majestic inauguration in December 2016. The temple’s architecture blends traditional Swaminarayan styles with rich artistic details. Ornate iron gates, twin bells, and a grand 11-step entrance set an inviting tone for pilgrims.

At the entrance, intricately carved lamp towers and elephant guardians frame the porch, leading into a spacious sabhamandap (assembly hall), side halls, and triple sanctums (garbhagrihas). Inside, the pillars boast elaborate arches and gold-tinted panels, and the marble floors shine beneath domed ceilings and decorative roofline featuring five tall spires and three domes. Walkways facilitate pradakshina (circumambulation) around the central sanctum, supporting classic temple traditions.

The central sanctum enshrines Hari Krishna Maharaj in striking Gujarati attire, with adjacent shrines for Radha-Krishna, Lakshmi-Narayan, Ganpati, and Kashtabhanjan Hanuman. A beautifully crafted jhoola (swing), with elephant motifs and peacock designs, symbolizes divine play. Musical figures, celestial imagery, and portraits of Swaminarayan grace the corridors, making every corner a celebration of faith and artistry.

Regular satsangs, discourses, and aarti attract hundreds of devotees daily. The temple’s welcoming atmosphere, accessibility, and community kitchens further enhance its role as a regional spiritual hub, while the grand fair-like celebrations create festive joy for worshippers and tourists alike
